I WANT TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE YOUTH THAT GRADUATED THIS SCHOOL YEAR.
AS SOME OF Y'ALL MAY KNOW, THIS WILL BE MY LAST BOARD MEETING.
I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY AND I HAVE BEEN HONORED TO BE IN THIS POSITION.

UM, AS A, AS A WAY OF BACKGROUND, UM, LAST YEAR THERE WERE, UM, ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENTS THAT IDENTIFIED SOIL CONTAMINATION LEVELS THAT PREVENT THE SONO SITE FROM MEETING THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS FOR SCHOOL FACILITIES.
AS A RESULT, THE SITE CANNOT BE REOCCUPIED, UM, FOR THE SONO COMMUNITY SCHOOL AND WILL REMAIN AT CHANDLER TRIP FOR, UH, THE FORESEEABLE, UH, UH, 26 AND 27 SCHOOL YEAR.
UM, THE COUNTY OFFICE EXPLORED REMEDIATION OPTIONS, INCLUDING PROCE, PURSUING ADDITIONAL FUNDING THROUGH APPLICATION AND APPEAL.
HOWEVER, THESE EFFORTS WERE UNSUCCESSFUL.
THE COST TO REMEDIATE THE SITE AND TO ACHIEVE COMPLIANCE EXCEEDS AVAILABLE RESOURCES AND WOULD SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT OTHER PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
AS A RESULT, UM, WE WILL BE REQUIRED TO CONVENE A SEVEN 11 COMMITTEE TO EVALUATE THE FUTURE USE AND POTENTIAL DISPOSITION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED, UH, OR THE LOCATED AT THE SNO PROPERTY AND WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST APPROVAL TO PROCEED.

UH, AND SO THE OBJECTIVE, UH, THAT I'LL BE WORKING ON IS DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING A UNIFIED, UH, STRATEGIC PLAN THAT ALIGNS OUR INTERNAL PROGRAMS AND OUR PARTNERSHIPS, UH, TO CREATE AND BEGIN, BEGIN, UH, CREATING THE VISION AND DESCRIBE DESCRIPTIONS OF OUR CRADLE TO CAREER ECOSYSTEM, UH, THAT WILL BEGIN WITH A PROGRAM AND INITIATIVE, UH, MAPPING ANALYSIS, UH, A VIEW OF THE LANDSCAPE TO UNDERSTAND, UM, THE ASSETS THAT WE HAVE, ESTABLISHING A MONITORING AND REPORTING CADENCE TO TRACK OUR PROGRESS TOWARDS, UM, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ECOSYSTEM, AND TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS PATHWAYS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING DIRECT SERVICES FROM THE COUNTY OFFICE.

UH, THE SECOND BOARD GOAL, UH, RELATES TO OUR, OUR COMMITMENT TO PARTNERSHIPS.
UM, MY OBJECTIVE WILL BE TO STRENGTHEN AND GROW PARTNERSHIPS, UM, WITH OUR EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS.
UM, WE WANT TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF ACTIVE FORMAL PARTNERSHIPS, UM, ESTABLISH, UM, OR EXPAND COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVE WITH AT LEAST FIVE KEY PARTNERS TO ADVANCE, UM, OUR CRADLE TO CAREER GOAL, AND THEN CONDUCT AT LEAST THREE TO FOUR, UH, SUPERINTENDENT LED COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES, UM, THAT PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LISTEN, UM, AND, AND USE THE FEEDBACK FROM THESE OPPORTUNITIES TO INFORM AT LEAST THREE STRATEGIC OR PROGRAMMATIC DECISIONS.
UM, THE LAST BOARD GOAL, UM, FOCUSES ON, UH, OUR COMMITMENT TO SEEING THE WHOLE CHILD.
AND SO MY OBJECTIVE WILL BE TO STRENGTHEN AND ALIGN SYSTEMS OF SUPPORT.
UM, WE WILL BEGIN WITH A, A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF OUR SEL PRACTICES, SUPPORTS, AND ASSETS ACROSS OUR DIRECT SERVICE PROGRAMS, UM, BY THE END OF THE SECOND QUARTER, WHICH IS DECEMBER.
UM, AS APPROPRIATE AND ALLOWABLE, ENSURE THAT OUR PROGRAMS IMPLEMENT A WHOLE CHILD APPROACH, INCLUDING, UH, PRACTICES, DOCUMENTED PRACTICES FOR ASSESSMENT OF SEL PHYSICAL AND ACADEMIC NEEDS, AND SEEK TO, UH, SECURE ADDITIONAL FUNDING AND RESOURCES TO SUSTAIN AND EXPAND OUR WHOLE CHILD SUPPORTS AFTER THE BOLD BOARD GOALS.
THE TWO HIGH PRIORITIES THAT I'VE IDENTIFIED ARE, UM, IMPROVE THE FISCAL HEALTH INSTABILITY.
UM, THE OBJECTIVE IS TO STRENGTHEN OUR OVERALL FISCAL HEALTH.
UM, UH, IT BEGINS, UM, WITH DEVELOPING A MULTI-YEAR FISCAL STABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY PLAN.
UM, WANT TO IDENTIFY OUR STRUCTURAL RISK, IDENTIFY WHERE WE CAN, UH, CONTAIN COSTS, UM, SEEK NEW REVENUE OPPORTUNITIES.
AND THIS WILL BE UPDATED TO, UM, INSTEAD OF SAYING THE QUARTERLY PROGRESS MONITORING, BUT IT'LL ALIGN WITH THE BUDGET, UM, DEVELOPMENT PROCESS AND REGULAR REPORTING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
UM, WE'LL BE DOING A DIVISION BY DIVISION REVIEW OF REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES TO IDENTIFY STRENGTH, WEAKNESSES, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT, UM, WITH THE GOAL OF IMPLEMENTING AT LEAST FIVE CORRECTIVE, UM, OR IMPROVEMENT TO ACTIONS.

IMPLEMENTATION FOR THESE AREAS IS FULLY IMPLEMENTED.
